On June 26, 1967 the Baptist Churches of Baltimore came together to form the Baltimore Baptist Association. The purpose of this association as documented in our Articles Of Incorporation is:
“To furnish Southern Baptist Churches in the Baltimore Association a medium of cooperation in their divinely commissioned work of State, Home and Foreign Missions; to assist Churches in acquiring and enlarging places of worship, to promote stewardship; and to cooperate with the Baptist Convention of Maryland, Inc. and the Southern Baptist Convention and their agencies.”
Since 1967 we have united together to support our pastors, churches and missionaries in fulfilling the Great Commission here in the Baltimore area. We stand on the shoulders of many great leaders who have carried the gospel into the neighborhoods and communities of Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Our desire is to honor the legacy of our past while bringing to Baltimore a more gospel saturated future.
The Baltimore Baptist Association affirms “The Baptist Faith & Message”.
